About Yaseen Khan
Yaseen is one of the co-founders at Allerton Group.
Yaseen has worked in many aspects of Real Estate for over 10 years and was formally a barrister specialising in housing. As a result, Yaseen has a strong understanding of many property related issues that arise out of any transaction, he can quickly analyse the viability and investment strength of the asset. This particular strength has enabled Allerton to source and complete assets in a competitive market place starting with no capital.
As Yaseen was directly involved at ground level of all aspects of growth for the business as well managing the stumbling blocks on the way, this experience places him in a unique position with both an understanding of the property and developments angle as well as the care and support. This long-term sustainable view allows tenants to stay in a property they can truly call home.
About Kunal Dodia
Kunal Dodia is one of the co-founders at Allerton Group.
He began his career as a lawyer specialising in contentious and non-contentious insolvent restructuring and corporate M&A. Kunal continued his career heading up the litigation team for one of the UK largest fintech asset-based lenders.
As Kunal was directly involved at ground level of all aspects of growth for the business as well managing the stumbling blocks on the way, this experience places him in a unique position with both an understanding of the property and developments angle as well as the care and support Kunal has a passion to innovate the social care and housing sector, building truly diverse teams and make use of technology to deliver excellent value to stakeholders.
About John Turk
John is the CEO of Allerton Group.
He commenced his career in the Royal Engineers where he served for 5 years in The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers and delivered construction projects in Hong Kong, Brunei, Nepal, the Falkland Islands, and Canada. On leaving the Armed Forces John obtained an MBA from London Business School and joined GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals becoming Country Manager for the Balkan Region.
Since then, John has held Managing Director and Chief Executive roles in private asset-based health and social care companies. Between 2016 and 2019 John was Managing Director of Social Housing for the registered charity subsidiary of Clarion Housing Group responsible for 11,000 units of Supported Housing.
John is a Trustee and Chair of the multi award winning Health & Independent Living Support (HILS) and a Faculty Advisor at London Business School on their Executive Programmes on Strategy Execution.
About Darren Levy
Darren has over 30 years experience delivering and leading housing, property, asset management and development services across public, private and charitable sectors. He spent several years as a consultant and interim executive, working with a range of Registered Providers across the UK delivering business change and transformation.
Over the last 15 years has also held a range of non executive roles within third sector and housing organisations.
About Ben Harrison
Ben is a highly experienced and committed housing professional who has worked in the housing sector since 1990 for local authorities, housing associations and charities. He has primarily worked in the supported housing sector and occupied roles in asset management, property development, housing management and strategy and policy development and my most recent post was that of Managing Director of Forward Housing, a housing charity and part of the Thera group of companies.
About Shendi Keshet
Shendi is a qualified accountant who emigrated from Canada and has experience as a Finance Director, in both the private and public sectors and within the housing sector, most recently at a large housing association in the south west of England. Shendi is a speaker at a national level and writes articles in the housing sector press. With a particular interest in developing risk management frameworks and enabling businesses to create and integrate social value reporting within traditional financial reporting frameworks, she is keen to explore new software which supports new ways of gathering data, enabling the automation of such reporting.
Shendi has many years’ experience working on boards, enabling businesses to thrive, working at both international and national levels.
About Emma Briggs
Emma moved into the Housing sector 4.5 years ago, after a 12 year career in global buying roles in industrial distribution. She passionately believes that the Housing sector offers many opportunities for people to work alongside brilliant, committed and likeminded others to make a real impact on the lives of tenants. She is Chair of the G15 Procurement Leadership Group, where members come together to share best-practice and explore opportunities for collaboration across London’s biggest Housing Associations.
She is also an Advisory Board member for ProcureCo, the UK’s first Early Market Engagement platform and is heavily involved in the setting up of the first National Housing Procurement Association, offering collaboration and best-practice sharing across all Housing Associations.
About John Donnelly
John is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Secretary with nineteen years' experience in financial services across Funds, Private Equity and Professional Practice in the United Kingdom, Bermuda and the Channel Islands. He has 11 years’ experience as a Director, both Executive and Non-Executive, primarily within onshore and offshore Funds, but also charity and service companies.
