Report a Repair

In the event of an emergency outside of our usual working hours (9:00am to 17:30pm) please contact us immediately on 0300 124 5540. All other urgent and general repairs please either report these to your relevant Housing Officer or contact us.

Parasol Homes will aim to fix your repair within the following timescales:

  • Emergency Repairs – 24 hours
  • Urgent Repairs – 5 days
  • General Repairs – 20 days

Emergency repairs are those which pose an immediate health and safety risk to either you or the property. These include:

  • No heating or hot water
  • Gas leak
  • A water leak which cannot be isolated
  • No power at the property
  • Unsafe electrical sparking
  • Dangerous roof damage
  • No use of the toilet (if there is only 1 in the property)
  • Storm damage

Call the gas emergency number (0800 111 999) immediately if there is a gas leak or signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Urgent repairs are those which are not classed as emergencies but which result in the loss of a basic facility and may lead to further damage if the problem is not dealt with. These include:

  • Part failure of water of electric supply
  • Blocked sink, shower, bath or basin
  • Taps which cannot be turned on
  • Loss of heating or hot water between the months of May to October

General repairs are those which do not have an immediate or longer-term effect on your health and safety and is often caused as a result of general wear and tear. These include:

  • Painting and decorating the property
  • Replacing or repairing dripping taps
  • Minor electrical works including works to extractor fans

It is important to understand that if damage to the property is caused as a result of your actions then you may be recharged for the full repair.
